What Are The Dasuquin Side Effects?

What Are The Dasuquin Side Effects?

Joint problems and diseases are quite common in dogs. Unfortunately, the pain that your pet has to go through when he is suffering from the joint problem, is usually immense. Therefore, you cannot leave him unattended. Should you choose not to act on a timely basis, the chances are that matters may get worse with the passage of time.

There are supplements available that can minimize, or aliviate the symptoms and pain of arthritis based issues. One of the most common and frequently used nutritional supplements for any joint deficiency is known as Dasuquin (click for the full review). This supplement consists of three major ingredients which are glucosamine, chondroitin, and ASU. As all these three ingredients are natural, therefore, there are no known side effects.

All the mentioned ingredients found in Dasuquin will help with cartilage formation, and therefore; minimize joint problems. Although, there is a possibility that Dasuquin might have some adverse effect for some of the dogs out there. As every dog is different from another, the reaction that he exhibits upon intake of the same ingredients might be different. Some canines might suffer from allergies if the supplement is not given to them in a proper dose.

Dasuquin contains unsaponifiables; an extract from avocados and soybeans. Some people believe that avocados can cause stomach and gastric problems in dogs, therefore, people think that it might upset the digestive system of their pets. However, this is merely a hypothesis. Another ingredient of Dasuquin which is known as “ASU”, actually helps with the digestive system, and cancels out any adverse effect of avocados. The hope is that it makes intaking the supplement safe for your dog – which is what we all want in the end!

Dasuquin vs Cosequin

Dasuquin VS Cosequin

Both Dasuquin and Cosequin are nutritional supplements made by Nutramax Labs to address joint problems in dogs. Both these two supplements contain glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM, then what is actually the difference? An extra ingredient known as ASU, found in Dasuquin is the difference between the two supplements. ASU is Avocado and Soybean Unsaponifiables which is known to repair stiff, injured and sore joints more effectively. If you’re dog is suffering with pain, you may want to use a dog bike trailer out on walks, until he or she is better. This is also the reason why Dasuquin is also known as advanced Cosequin, and it’s also a little more expensive than Cosequin supplements.

Now the question that arises here is, which one is better than the other? Well, it is a debate that will go on all day without any result. Some people are really satisfied with Cosequin and do not want to spend extra money on Dasuquin. While on the other hand, Dasuquin has done some wonders when it comes to joint problems, and some people find it better than Cosequin. Our verdict on this is that both the supplements are equally effective, only the situation determines which supplement to use.

If the joint condition is not terribly bad, and the pain is not excruciating, then there may be no point in spending more money on Dasuquin. A proper dose of Cosequin will most likely get the job done easily. Similarly, if the joint condition is really bad and the pain is too much the best option is usually to go for Dasuquin.

Cosequin works wonderfully well with small breeds, but if you talk about the larger breeds the preferred choice is usually Dasuquin.
